If a church member bought songs from the internet are we able to photocopy the music and put the church copyright license on the music? How do we record photocopies of internet downloaded music on the CCLI Music Reproduction (Photocopy) Licence?

Under the terms and conditions of the Music Reproduction (Photocopy) Licence it is the Licensee that must own the original, which in most cases is the church. A church member can download music on behalf of the church, or donate the original, downloaded music to the church.

If a music download is on the Authorised Website List, then the Church Music Reproduction (Photocopy) Licence may be used to make copies. Please record these copies on the MRL Copy Report worksheet by listing under the publisher name column the web page where you bought the downloads.
